2024 Archive: Why Old Fee Tables Need a Date and Source

An archived review explaining why tuition figures without an academic year, room type or official source can mislead families.

A fee table becomes unreliable when it loses its academic year and source. The same university can publish different tuition, hostel and scholarship figures for separate intakes.

Minimum record

Every fee entry should include university, academic year, currency, tuition, hostel, other charges, source URL and date checked.

Conflicting amounts

Do not silently replace one secondary-source figure with another. Store both and select the current official admission guide as the preferred public record when available.

Family planning

Use the figure as an estimate until the university issues a written invoice for the named student and intake.
