MBBS in China for Pakistani Students: Admission and PM&DC Planning

A practical checklist for Pakistani applicants covering academic eligibility, MDCAT, university verification, fees, internship records and the future PM&DC route.

Pakistani students should plan the degree from the end goal backwards. Admission is only the first stage; the university, programme title, teaching language, clinical training and graduation documents must also fit the current PM&DC pathway.

Before applying

The PM&DC policy for students entering foreign undergraduate medical or dental institutions sets academic and examination conditions for Pakistani applicants. Students who completed intermediate education in Pakistan should review the current percentage and MDCAT requirements directly on the PM&DC website before paying an application fee.

University checks

An MOE annual list is a useful programme check, but it is not a substitute for PM&DC eligibility. Record the university name, annual MOE notice, teaching language, quota, admission year and official programme guide. Do not rely on an old consultant table or a general claim that every medical school in China is accepted.

Fee and payment checks

Request a written university invoice showing tuition, hostel, insurance, registration and any service charges separately. Keep the bank receipt and verify the beneficiary account independently. A five-year estimate is helpful for family planning, but exchange rates and annual fee revisions should be expected.

Internship and licensing records

Keep attendance records, clinical rotation details, internship certificates, logbooks and affiliated-hospital documents. PM&DC registration and examination rules can change, so recheck them before admission, before internship and again before graduation.
