A university should not be selected on tuition alone. Start with the programme's legal status, teaching language and current international admission position.
Build a short list
- Confirm whether the university appears on the relevant annual MOE English-MBBS list
- Check whether the current intake is open to international students
- Review the official programme duration and internship arrangement
- Compare tuition, accommodation and compulsory charges separately
- Consider climate, city size, travel access and living costs
Check clinical preparation
Ask how Chinese-language learning is integrated into the course and when students begin hospital exposure. Clinical communication requires language ability even when classroom teaching is described as English-medium.
Check recognition before payment
The intended country of practice may apply its own school-listing, examination, internship or documentation rules. Record the exact source and date of every recognition check.
